Boys Basketball (Maragh; 10/18- 10/24)

Attention boys’ basketball players.  We will be having a meeting Monday, Oct 24th in the main gym at 2:45 regarding tryouts.  See you then!  

Wrestling (Anthony; 10/24)

Attention all Wrestlers:

There will be a meeting for all interested on today in the Mini Auditorium at 2:45pm.

Student Council (Marshall; 10/24)

Student Council would like to thank Mr. Pena for all of his hard work in making the haunted house a success…..THANK YOU, MR. PENA.

To everyone else involved: theater and all clubs who participated, thank you. Without your participation, the event would not have been able to happen.

Shane’s Rib Shack (Marshall/ 10/24)

Everybody love Barbeque and Shane’s Rib Shack will be here every Monday to bring you’re their tasty barbeque. You will have the option to purchase a shredded barbeque sandwich or buffalo chicken strips with chips for $5.00.

Elevate Meeting (Badini; 10/24)

There will be a meeting at the pole this Wednesday and the Elevate meeting will be meeting in the mini auditorium Wednesday after school.

We will be having our next Close –Up meeting to discuss our Washington DC trip on Wednesday, 10/26 at 2:45 in Mr. Mandile’s room, R-24.

NAU lunch visit (T. Starr; 10/25)

What do you know about Northern Arizona University?  NAU will be on campus today during both lunches to give you lots more information about their college in Flagstaff.  Did you know you can take NAU classes at GCC?  Stop by outside the Career Center to find out the answer. 

P3 Awards (T. Starr; 10/24- 10/25)              

Did you miss the P3 Assembly before break?  Mrs. Starr has your awards.  Pick them up in the Career Center before or after school or during you lunch.

 Fright Bite is coming to the mall area during both lunches on Halloween, October 31st. Fright Bite is the annual Halloween bake sale by the culinary arts classes. There will be a hauntingly good selection of cupcakes, dipped pretzels, cake pops, cookies, brownies, Day of the Dead items, and more.  Prices start at .50. See you on Halloween!

Hey Patriots, Smoothies are on sale this week in the Pit Stop during both lunches on Tuesday and Thursday for $2.00 each. The flavors this week are Strawberry Banana and Mocha Iced Coffee.

JV Spiritline Tryouts (H. McMahon; 10/25)

JV Spiritline Tryout Clinics will be today and tomorrow at 3:30 in the dance room. You may only attend if you turned in your tryout packet last Friday and have completed your clearance card.

Counseling Department (Dr. Rodriguez; 10/25)

West-MEC (Koole; 10/26)

Attention sophomores and juniors! Are you interested in applying for a West-MEC program? Every program at West-MEC’s Southwest Campus has an open house TONIGHT from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. These include: Energy and Industrial Technology, Construction, IT Security, Medical Assisting, and Pharmacy Technician. The Southwest Campus is located at 500 N. Verrado Way in Buckeye.  Bring your parents for a hands-on look at these exciting programs and remember…you get more points on your application if you attend an OPEN HOUSE!  Stop by the Counseling Office for more information!

Frazen (Step Team (Frazen; 10/26- 10/27)

Photo Club Meeting (Mr. Kerr; 10/26)

Photo club meets today at 2:45 in Mr. Kerr’s room. Anyone interested in going on the downtown Phoenix photo walk field trip next week needs to be here. Also, bring your creativity and ideas as we plan the design for this year’s club shirt and give our officers a Halloween makeover!

Financial Aid (T. Starr; 10/26)

Seniors:  Have you completed your FAFSA yet?  Come to the Media Center on tomorrow evening where you will have experts to help you and your parents complete your FAFSA.  Remember if you have applied to NAU…the FAFSA deadline is Nov. 15!  Don’t miss this deadline!  This will give you the best opportunities for financial help in paying for college.  You may come anytime between 6:30 and 8:30. See Mrs. Starr in the Career Center if you need more information.

Varsity Volleyball (Monaghan; 10/26)

Congratulations to Varsity Volleyball on an amazing season. This is the best season in years. The ladies ended their season 10-7 overall. Great work ladies I am going to miss you. They defeated the Glendale Cardinals last night as we wrapped up with Senior night. Wanted to say we will miss you Vero Lozoya and Mireya Andrade. Good luck in your next sport ladies.

Volleyball (Monaghan; 10/26)

Attention all Volleyball players we will be meeting tomorrow (Thursday) to turn in uniforms. If you are moving on to another sport you will need to be in the locker room at 2:45 on Thursday to turn in uniform. This is mandatory for all Volleyball players.

I want to congratulate the JV volleyball team in a great win last night against the Glendale, Cardinals. You ladies played fabulous! Thank you for an amazing season ladies. Coach Trevizo and I really enjoyed coaching you girls!!! We will miss you!!! Seniors we will miss you.
