MONDAY ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

Driver Ed (10/3)

The next Driver Ed. session will begin on Saturday, Oct. 22 to Oct. 29. You can now preregister for any session for this school year. The limit is still 32 students per session. This first session filled up a week and a half before the deadline. Call Kara Martin at the Moon Valley bookstore at (623) 915-8019 if you any questions and want to preregister by mail. Go to the Moon Valley school website under Parents/Students to get the information on the sessions. Registration for the Oct. session needs to be completed by Wed., Oct. 19 if there still any spaces left.

STUCO (Marshall;10/3)

Everybody love Barbeque and Shane’s Rib Shack will be here every Monday to bring you’re their tasty barbeque. You will have the option to purchase a shredded barbeque sandwich or buffalo chicken strips with chips for $5.00.

Cross Country (Groseta; 10/3)

The Cross Country teams looked great at the Nike Desert Twilight race over the weekend.  Nearly all runners ran their fastest times of the year, but especially spectacular were Jesus Aldana and Victor Flores who both broke the school record in the 5k! Jesus ran 16:21 and Victor now holds the school record in 16:19, averaging 5:15 per mile for the 3 mile race.  Great job Cross Country!

Theater (Farson; 10/3)

Lend Me a Tenor Cast Members: There is a MANDATORY all cast meeting on Monday, 10/3/16 at 3:30pm in the auditorium. Every cast member needs to attend.

Juniors- Pre-ACT Test (10/3)

Juniors will have an opportunity to take the Pre-ACT Test on October 19th.  The ACT is the college entrance exam to qualify you to be accepted to Universities.  The cost is $12.00, is limited to first come first serve and Juniors can register for the Pre-ACT test in the bookstore.  See your counselor, if you have any questions.

Varsity Football (Maldonado; 10/3)

Varsity football won Friday 38-17. More importantly, the program had a sweep week, winning at all three levels. Great job, the coaches are proud of you!

The smoothie flavors for this week are Iced Mocha and Strawberry Banana. Smoothies are available for $2.00 each at the Pit Stop Tuesday and Thursday during both lunches.

Varsity Win 9-0, JV 6-3
Good job Badminton for working hard to get the JV and Varsity win yesterday against Apollo.
JV won 6-3, Varsity won 9-0.

Varsity Volleyball (Monaghan; 10/5)

Varsity Volleyball fought hard last night but fell short to Betty Fairfax. Keep working ladies. Coach is proud of you. Ladies were wearing their pink uniforms to support Breast Cancer awareness. Big thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Monaghan for the uniforms.

Freshman Football (Crowell; 10/6)

Your Patriot freshman football team had another victory last night over the Camelback Spartans.  With a score of 14 to 6, the Patriot defense denied the Spartans on three separate attempts touchdowns within the red zone.

Give a shout out today to your men of steel, line backers Anthony Cano and Victor Frenes-Villegas!

We won 14-12 against Camelback last night. It's our second win in a row. I'd also like to give a special shoutout to the defense for a great performance.
