Your Patriot Performers Theatre Club invites you to join us for a fundraiser at Peter Piper Pizza at Arrowhead on Wednesday October 24th from 5-8pm. See any theatre club member or come to Ms. Farsons room to pick up a flyer that you’ll need for the event. Come on out and eat pizza with your IHS Theatre Club!

What is INTERACT???  INTERACT is a community service club that is sponsored by Rotary International.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO YOU?  Because this club is sponsored by Rotary, it opens the door to scholarships and opportunities beyond high school

HOW CAN I JOIN?  We will have a meeting on Tuesday, October 23rd in Room B15 at 2:45.  This is going to be epic!!!  We have plans to do service projects like “FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN” and working with Special Olympics.  The more people who join, the more fun it will be!!!  Come be part of the newest club on campus!

Girl’s basketball (L. Gardner; 10/23)

ALL girls interested in playing basketball this year there will be a mandatory meeting today at 2:45 in the practice gym.  This meeting will contain information on Tryouts and getting cleared! Basketball starts in less than 1 week! Go Patriots! 

Speech and Debate (Mandile; 10/23)

There will be a Speech and Debate meeting in R-24 – Mr. Mandile’s room at 2:45pm. Please do not be late, we will be starting right away.

Wrestling (Cumpton; 10/22- 10/23)

Winter is coming and so is wrestling season.  If you’re looking for a winter sport to build both strength and character, look no further than your IHS wrestling team!  If you think you have what it takes to compete with the best then come to the brief but mandatory meeting in Coach Cumpton’s room, R7 after school TODAY at 3 o’clock. We’ll see you there Patriots!

PSAT (Koole; 10/22- 10/23)

Attention freshmen and sophomores taking the PSAT on Wednesday: Check-in begins at 7:30 am in the PAC Building. Please bring your school id and a calculator with fresh batteries. If you are not checked-in prior to 7:45 am, you will not be allowed to test. See your counselor with questions.

Are you a Patriot that gets to campus early on late start Wednesdays?  Now you can get caffeinated and grab a bite to eat on campus.  Starting October 31st, FBLA is bringing you a COFFEE STOP every Wednesday morning at the Patriot Hut.  Make a coffee stop with your friends before school starts every Wednesday!

ANYTOWN will be here soon. This is a fun and empowering opportunity for underclassmen. Please turn in your permission slip as soon as possible to room 228. If you received a nomination notice, but were unable to go to the meeting, please see Mr. Carreon in room 228. There are still spots available for this great opportunity.

STUCO (Marshall; 10/26)

Everybody love Barbeque and Shane’s Rib Shack will be here every Monday to bring you their tasty barbeque. You have the option to purchase a shredded barbeque sandwich or buffalo chicken strips with chips for $5.00.

Swim and Dive (Hallum; 10/26)

Yesterday the swim and dive team had an awesome performance in the qualifying portion the district championships. For the girls’ team, freshmen Ashley Morales and juniors Briana Gonzalez and Breezia Medina each swam their way to an invitation back for finals today and Freshmen Diana Lizarraga Rochin will be swimming in the Championship heats for both her individual medley and her 100 backstroke.  Both of the relay teams that these four young ladies were on yesterday have also been invited back to swim in championship heats.The boys’ team also had a great day.  Junior Ethan Amaya, who will also be trying to qualify for the state chess tournament tonight, and freshmen Khang Nguyen were both invited back for two individual events.  Freshmen Herman Granados and Ian Amaya, as well as senior Alberto Gomez Hernandez, also earned invitations for individual events.  Sophomore Noah Arrieta will be swimming in the championship heat for the 100 butterfly and sophomore Guillermo Cazarez and senior Elijah Cortez will both be competing in the championship heats for the 200 individual medley and the 100 breaststroke. These young men, as well as sophomore Guillermo Ocampo, also earned invitations back for all three of their relays in championship heats. If you see any of these athletes, wish them luck at today’s finals
