GCC ACE (Trezza; 10/2- 10/17)

Sophomores Only: Glendale Community College (GCC) is offering free college classes through the ACE program. GCC will be doing a presentation of all the information and how to apply. It will be Thursday, October 18th after school at 2:45-3:30 in the Mini Auditorium. GCC representatives will be presenting and answering questions on how to apply. The ACE application will be due November 16th to your counselor. This is a scholarship program for free college classes at Glendale Community College and a great opportunity! Be there!

Do you have a scary ghost story that you want to share with the world? Please submit your story to Mrs. Ehrick through Google Drive by October 19th at midnight, and win a Dutch Brothers gift card and your story will be read with sound effects on a professional podcast. STUCO (Marshall; 10/15)

Everybody love Barbeque and Shane’s Rib Shack will be here every Monday to bring you their tasty barbeque. You have the option to purchase a shredded barbeque sandwich or buffalo chicken strips with chips for $5.00.

La Familia (Ms. Figueroa; 10/15)

Attention La Familia Club members:  The next meeting is this Thursday, October 18 after school in Ms. Figueroa’s room, R28. More information will be given about Trunk or Treat and the Fall Festival.

If so, please come to Mrs. Ehrick’s Works Cited/in-text citation workshop on Wednesday at 8:00 AM-8:55 AM or 2:40PM- 3:35PM. Hope to see you there, seniors! Please bring highlighters and a copy of paper printed if you have it.

Bring your parents to our informational meeting this Wednesday, October 17th from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the PAC building. Don’t forget that you get more points on your application for attending West-MEC events! See your counselor for more information!

The Patriot Hut will be open for lunch this week.  Come on down for pizza, mac n cheese, corndogs and pb&j sandwiches.  The “hut” will be open after school on Friday and will resume normal open hours next week.

Good luck to the Unified Special Olympics badminton teams!  Two IHS Unified doubles teams will be advancing to the AIA state unified playoffs this Saturday, October 20th.  Congratulations to Oscar Arredondo Torres, Enrique Arellano, Gabriel Rosales, and Sarina Lujan.  Good luck at State!

What is INTERACT???  INTERACT is a community service club that is sponsored by Rotary International.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO YOU?  Because this club is sponsored by Rotary, it opens the door to scholarships and opportunities beyond high school

HOW CAN I JOIN?  We will have a meeting on Tuesday, October 23rd in Room B15 at 2:45.  This is going to be epic!!!  We have plans to do service projects like “FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN” and working with Special Olympics.  The more people who join, the more fun it will be!!!  Come be part of the newest club on campus!
