GCC Hoop of Learning (Dr. Rodriguez; 11/1- 11/17)

Are you a Native American high school student, a member of a federally recognized tribe?  Would you like to earn free college credits?  You are invited to GCC Hoop of Learning Recruitment Day, November 18th, 10:00-11:30 at GCC in MA-120.  See your counselor for more information.

Every Day:

Independence Food Drive has begun! Help out those in need; Bring in your canned food items to classrooms with food drive boxes. If you bring in 4 cans to the attendance office, you can avoid a lunch detention.

West-MEC (Koole; 10/27- 11/6)

Are you planning to apply for a West-MEC program this year? This is your chance! Bring your parents to our informational meeting next TuesdayNovember 7th from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the PAC building. Don’t forget that you get more points on your application for attending West-MEC events! See your counselor for more information!

Key Club (Pampel; 11/1- 11/17)

Do you have to much stuff in your closet? Key Club has a way to help. Bring your unwanted clothing to the clothing drive on November 18th. We will be at the front of the school in the bus drop off zone from 10am to Noon. If you cannot make it on Saturday feel free to bring your clothing donations to room R-14 before Friday, November 17th.

Theater Club (Farson; 11/3- 11/7)

Attention theatre club members: If you signed up to attend the Arizona Thespian Festival, you need to attend a meeting on Tuesday 11/7, directly following the theatre club meeting. You will need to be there to obtain important paperwork for the field trip. If you are not able to attend, you need to see Ms. Farson by the end of the day on November 8th to receive the paperwork.

STUCO (Marshall; 11/6)

Everybody love Barbeque and Shane’s Rib Shack will be here every Monday to bring you their tasty barbeque. You have the option to purchase a shredded barbeque sandwich or buffalo chicken strips with chips for $5.00.

Art 1-2 (Cramer, Odom; 11/6)

"If you had Art 1-2 last year with Ms. Cramer or Mr. Odom please see your teacher from last year to pick up your PBA Candy drawings”.

Attention all Freshmen and Sophomores going to Anytown this week: Please remember to bring in your permission slip and money to room 228 if you have not done so. Also, don’t forget to pack everything you’ll need. Bring your luggage to the PAC on Thursday morning before 8am. If you have any questions, see Mr. Carreon in room 228.

Chess Team (Bolton; 11/7)

The Patriot Chess Team travelled to the 2017 State Team Championship Tournament this past Friday & Saturday, after a long dry spell and with outstanding performances led by Varsity standouts Captain Kevin Romero, Ethan Amaya, Stephen Hoven, Anthony Adams, and Grace Pearson, upset 3 of their 5 higher ranked opponents!  As a result, they improved from 21st out of 24 schools to finish 11th in the entire state! Congrats on such an amazing strong showing! You made us Patriot proud!

Cross Country (Groseta; 11/7)

All Cross Country Runners, go to Mr. Groseta’s room today, B13, to get information on the banquet.
