Video Game Tournament (Hinojosa; 12/7- 12/14)

Tickets are now on sale for the Video Club Video Game Tournament. It’s happening after school on Friday, December 16th. The games are Black Ops 1, Mario Kart and Smash Brothers. The cost to compete in 1 game is 5-dollars, 2 games for 6 dollars and 3 games for 7. Buy tickets in the bookstore, TODAY!

Gamers—show off your talent and win a prize in the Video Game Tournament. It happening on Friday, December 16th after school. Play Black Ops 1, Smash Brothers or Mario Kart. Admission for 1-game is 5-dollars. Play two games for 6   and 3-games for 7 bucks. There’s more information and tickets for sale in the bookstore.

STUCO (Marshall; 12/12)

Everybody love Barbeque and Shane’s Rib Shack will be here every Monday to bring you’re their tasty barbeque. You will have the option to purchase a shredded barbeque sandwich or buffalo chicken strips with chips for $5.00.

Driver Education ( Tualla; 12/12)

Just a reminder that the next Driver Education session will start on Jan. 28. Class size will be limited to 32 students so start registering as soon as you can. The cost is still $ 210 that can be paid through your parent's tax credit for 2017. Registration is at Moon Valley High School and you will need to show your driver license or permit to register for the class.Call Kara Martin at the Moon Valley bookstore if you want to register by mail. Enjoy your winter break and make sure your parents take you for some driving practice on your turns and steering. See you on Jan. 28.
Military career (TStarr; 12/12)         

Are you thinking about a career in the military?  Part of the enlistment process is the As-Vab test.  This test helps determine you career path in the different military branches.  Independence will be giving the As-Vab here on campus after final exams on Weds., Dec. 21.  If you are interested, see Commander Foster or Mrs. Starr to sign up.

Award Letters are here (T. Starr; 12/14)

Seniors:  Good news: the state universities are starting to release their financial aid award letters.  Check the university websites or your home mailbox to see if your financial aid has arrived.  Haven’t done FAFSA yet?  The state universities need FAFSA completed in order to make these awards so do yours as soon as possible.  Bring a copy of your award to the Career Center so we can celebrate with you!

Media Center (Ehrick; 12/14)

Attention Patriots,

Thanks to your help, we have received 166 little kids’ books. Do you think you can help us get to 200? Please donate your gently used little kids’ books to the media center to help benefit Apollo COOP Preschool and the little library program!

The PSAT scores are finally here.  If you took the PSAT here in October, go to the Career Center to get your scores.  The Career Center is open before and after school as well as during your lunch.
