TUESDAY ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

 

Bookstore (Holt; 8/14- 5/19)

Driver’s Ed (St. Pierre; 1/16)

The 3rd session for Driver's Ed starts Saturday February 3rd at 8AM to Noon. Cost is $210 dollars. You need a valid drivers license, permit and student ID. You need to register at the Moon Valley bookstore by January 26th. 

Softball (S. Wyatt; 1/16)

Reminder: Open Field starts up Wednesday January 17 at 3:00 on the softball field. Don’t forget tryouts are February 5th, make sure you are cleared by tryouts

Interact (Mr. Griffith; 1/16)

 Everyone who is interested in Interact, we will have a meeting on Tuesday, January 16 in Mr. Griffith’s Room right after school.  We will be electing officers and planning our Spring Service Project.  Come join the REVOLUTION!

Patriot Hut (Munoz; 1/16)

Remember to come try out the warm lunch offerings at the Patriot Hut this week.  You’ll find pizza, chicken fingers and burritos, plus lunch approved snacks and drinks.  The service window will be open for the first 20 minutes of each lunch.

Swim and Dive (Hallum; 1/12- 1/16)

Attention swimmers and divers:  There will be a meeting Tuesday after school in coach Hallum’s room.

Theatre Club (Farsons; 1/16)

Please come out for the first Theatre Club meeting of 2018, TODAY 1/16, after school in Ms. Farsons room, starting at 2:45pm. We will be discussing the upcoming Spring Musical, FAME. As well as the events for the rest of the semester. New club members are always welcome, so if you have been thinking about getting involved in Theatre, it’s never too late to start. See you all there!

WEST-MEC (Koole; 1/12- 1/17)

Are you interested in visiting a West-MEC campus? If you want to check out West-MEC’s Northwest Campus and explore Cosmetology, Dental Assisting, IT Security, Law, Public Safety and Security, Medical Assisting, and Vet Sciences, then you’re in luck! We are taking a fieldtrip on the 23rd, so go get your permission slip from the Career Center ASAP.

Hot Chocolate Social (Mr. Kerr; 1/12- 1/16)

Hey photo club members, we are back and ready to kickoff the new year in style. Join us today after school for our annual hot chocolate social and photography share. We will also be making some important announcemens so we hope to see you there!

Chemistry Club (Kleissle; 1/16)

Chemistry Club has a quick meeting today right after school. See you right after school in Ms. Kleissle’s Room  111. Again Chemistry club after school today in Room 111.

Track (Groseta; 1/16)

Today is the first day for Winter Track! If you are planning on doing track this year, and are not in another sport right now, meet at the track at 3pm today ready to run.  We will meet at the track at 3pm Monday to Friday until the season starts on February 5th. Track practice 3 O’Clock at the track today.

Elevate I.H.S. (Bolton; Foster; Barrett; 1/17)

Elevate I.H.S. (Surge on Campus) Christian Fellowship Club will gather after school TODAY Wednesday the 17th at 2:45 in Mr. Bolton’s room B-24 for anyone that wants to join us and discuss upcoming service projects ideas.  ALL current Elevate I.H.S. Christian Fellowship Club members please come and bring a friend along.  See you there and as always, remember that U R Loved!

Boys Soccer (S. Gomez; 1/17)

The Boys soccer team came away with a Big Region win last night over South Mountain by the score of 3-2. Leading the way was Jr Forward Enrique Arellano with two goals, one of them was a rocket from 30 yards out. Adding to the scoring was Senior Captain Aaron Vilchis on a great header. Goalkeeper Sophomore Osmar Bonilla came up with some big saves to preserve the win. The win puts the Patriots a top of the Region and keeps them at there #2 power point ranking. The Boys will be back in action tomorrow night home against Kellis. Come out and support your Patriots.

There is a Thirst Project Club today after school in room B19 at 2:45. See you there!

There are open courts on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting today. If you are interested in tennis open courts come see Mr. Barton in B21 or Mr. Tracy in G-2. There will also be an informational meeting about the beginning of the season this FrIday at 2:45 in G-2.

Chess Team (Bolton; 1/18)

The Patriot Chess Team begins its “club” season with a brief planning meeting TODAY, Thursday after school in room B-24. ALL Chess Team members and anyone interested in learning how to play chess are invited to join us.

Young Environmentalist’s Club (Bolton, Kieu; 1/18)

The Young Environmentalist’s Club would like to invite YOU to come on out and join us TODAY Thursday afternoon after school at 2:45 pm in Room G-11, Ms. Kieu’s classroom and join the Young Environmentalist’s and Jr. ROTC in getting community service hours credit while helping the Patriot Nation Environment in Recycling and beautifying our campus. No experience required! 

Spiritline State Competition (Rubio; 1/18)

Back in November the Varsity Spiritline competed for the first time in over 14 years and qualified for state! They will be competing at the state competition this Saturday at 11:00 at Chase Field. Come out to support the girls that support you all year long and wish them luck if you see them!

Patriots: We will be returning to Piestwa Peak for the next HIS Hiking Club trip! Please join us for a planning meeting on Wednesday, November 24th at 8:20 am in Room 121. See Ms. Chandler or Ms. Mitchell if you are interested in the hike but unable to attend the meeting.

STUCO (Marshall; 1/19)

Everybody love Barbeque and Shane’s Rib Shack will be here every Monday to bring you their tasty barbeque. You have the option to purchase a shredded barbeque sandwich or buffalo chicken strips with chips for $5.00.

Girls Soccer (Monaghan; 1/19)

What an exciting evening. The Lady Patriots Soccer team defeat the Kellis Cougars last night with a score of 1-0. Putting in the Goal was Gabrielle Morgan Asst by Gaby Flores.  The defense was AMAZINGGGGG and held  the Cougars to yet another shut out.  Patriots have not defeated Kellis in over 7 years. Way to go Ladies so proud to coach you.
