TUESDAY ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

Bookstore (Holt; 1/17)

Information:  The following books will be available for purchase in the bookstore:

Crucible, $9.00, The Handmaid’s Tale $8.00, The Great Gatsby $10.00, The Great Expectations $5.50, Othello $2.50, and the Invisible Man $9.50…LIMITED SUPPLY WHEN THERE GONE THEY ARE GONE.

Driver Education (Tualla; 1/17)

The third  Dr. Ed.  session will be  starting on Jan. 28 and currently there are only 14 openings left . Once the count reaches 32 it will close. Registration is at the Moon Valley bookstore and a copy of your driver license or permit must be submitted to the bookstore manager in order to register for the class. Your 2017 school tax credit can be used to pay for the class. Their spring Dr. Ed. session will be on April 1. It is recommended that students get some driving time with parents before starting the behind the wheel portion after the classroom session. The class will fill up fast so register as soon as possible.

GCC Application Workshop (T. Starr; 1/17)

Seniors:  Are you planning to attend GCC next year?  You can come to the computer lab next Wednesday morning to get the process started.  GCC representatives will be here to guide you through the application process.  Help will be available starting at 7:45.  The application takes about 30 minutes to complete to plan to come early.  See Mrs. Starr in the Career Center has more information.

If you went to get the free physical last year go to the Athletic office and makes sure they have it. Don’t wait to get cleared! Try outs are February 6th.

Dean’s Office (Harrison; 1/20)

Here is an important message from the Dean’s office:

Beginning Tuesday, January 24th , the Dean’s office will start holding after school detention in the school cafeteria on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. You may be required to attend one of these detention sessions if you choose to violate school rules. Detention will be held in the cafeteria from 2:40 until 4:00. If you ride the bus, you will be able to catch the late bus and still get a ride home. If you fail to attend after school detention will be given a referral for a 1 day off campus suspension. Again, after school detention begins next week!

STUCO (Marshall; 1/20)

Everybody love Barbeque and Shane’s Rib Shack will be here every Monday to bring you’re their tasty barbeque. You will have the option to purchase a shredded barbeque sandwich or buffalo chicken strips with chips for $5.00.

Girls Soccer (Monaghan; 1/20)

Congratulations to the Lady Patriots Soccer team for clinching the region championship last night beating Betty Fairfax with a score of 11-1.  Leading us to Victory was Gabrielle Morgan with 4 goals, Jasmine Valdez with 3, Laura Figueroa scoring 2 and The Andrea's putting up 2. Our defense was amazing being lead by Bridgett Birss, Yuriah Morgan, Jessica Sanchez, Haileigh Millett, Brianda Perez, Ashley Teran, Tabitha Lopez and Noelle Valdez. Holding solid in the mid-field was Kiara Ventura, Ashley Palomo, Vanessa Parra and Avigail Barrera. Supporting us from home Angelica Espinoza. Great job ladies coaches are proud of you.
