Buy a treaties for your sweetie! Valentines grams are being sold January 30th through February 10th.

Dodgeball Tournament 2.0 (Marshall; 1/25- 2/10)

Patriots there will be a Dodgeball tournament, Wednesday February 15th from 6 to 8 pm. Sign-ups will be located in the mall area during both lunches. Each team must have 6 members and each player must pay $3 dollars to play.

Talent Show (Marshall; 2/1- 2/9)

Independence got Talent? Patriots are you ready to show us your skills? Whether it’s singing, dancing magic anything, come audition in our talent show! Auditions will be held February 9th in the mini auditorium after school at 2:45 pm! The talent show will be February 24th from 5:30 to 7pm.

Softball (Wiley; 2/6)

SOFTBALL TRYOUTS START TODAY. PLEASE MEET ON THE VARSITY SOFTBALL FIELD BY 3:15. DON’T FORGET THE WATER AND DON’T BE LATE.

Health and Wellness Club (Frazen; 2/3- 2/6)

This Tuesday, February 7th Christina Flinders from the Madison Improvement Club in Phoenix will be teaching a FREE Hip-Hop Yoga class from 3-4pm in our I.H.S. Dance Room (upstairs in the gym).  This will be an up-beat beginner yoga class to Hip-Hop music.  Wear comfortable workout clothing and bring a beach towel or yoga mat (only if you want). Both students and staff are welcome to join in the FUN and get moving.  See Ms. Frazen in B8 with questions.

STUCO (Marshall; 2/6)

Everybody love Barbeque and Shane’s Rib Shack will be here every Monday to bring you’re their tasty barbeque. You will have the option to purchase a shredded barbeque sandwich or buffalo chicken strips with chips for $5.00.

The Be Mine Bake Sale is coming up this Friday!  The Culinary Arts classes will be selling a delicious assortment of Valentine Goodies in the mall area during both lunches. Some of the items will include heart shaped cookies and brownies, cake pops, chocolate dipped strawberries and more. Hope to see you there!

GCU Basketball Game (TStarr; 2/7)

Juniors & Seniors:  Are you hungry for pizza?  You can help ALL of the Junior & Senior Class get FREE pizza by attending a Grand Canyon Basketball Game.  GCU has invited all Juniors & Seniors to attend their basketball game on Thursday, Feb 23, for FREE.  Even better, GCU will send a charter bus to get you to and from the game.  Mrs. Starr has the permission slips.  Don’t miss out on a fun experience at a college basketball game!

Grand Canyon Lunch Visit (TStarr; 2/7)

Grand Canyon University will be on campus today during both lunches. Stop by outside the Career Center to learn about the new and exciting things going on at GCU.   Seniors, if you have applied stop by and get an update on your GCU acceptance.   

Theatre Club (Farson; 2/7)

Hey Patriots! There will be a theatre club meeting today after school in the green room!  Thespians be there, new members are interested in auditioning for the Spring Musical; come to the meeting as well

Valentine’s Day Photo Booth (Kerr; 2/10)

The Valentine’s Day photo booth is back for one more day! Stop by the mall area Monday through Friday during both lunches this week to get a professional romantic portrait of you and your special someone. Or, if you’re not feeling particularly romantic this February, grab a couple of your single friends and stop by our Anti-Valentine’s Day booth to celebrate your single status!

The cost is $1 per person which includes a digital picture emailed to you for sharing on Facebook, Instagram, etc.  Prints are also available for $1 per print. See any photo club member during lunch for more details.
