MONDAY ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

Bookstore (Holt; 3/27)

Information:  The following books will be available for purchase in the bookstore:

Crucible, $9.00, The Great Gatsby $10.50, The Great Expectations $5.50, Othello $2.50…LIMITED SUPPLY WHEN THERE GONE THEY ARE GONE.

Driver Education Session (Tualla; 3/27)

Sorry to announce that the April session will be limited to 16 students. Presently there are 12 already registered with only 4 openings left. The reason we are limiting this session is due to Mr. Bracciali having to go in to have spinal surgery this week and will be unavailable to help. The only session left this school year will be the summer session from May 30 to June 1. you can register for this session if you missed the cutoff for April 1.Mr. Tualla will call some of the April session to start doing the behind the wheel in March before class starts as he will be gone for 2 1/2 weeks to China and will drive the rest in May

Coding and Law Announcement (Counseling; 3/15- 3/31)

Are you looking for something different? Are you considering law enforcement or becoming an attorney? What about computer coding or gaming? There will be two new and exciting classes offered at Independence next year! If you are interested in taking the Law and Public Safety class or Computer Coding class, stop by the Counseling Office and sign up ASAP!

BOOKSTORE (Holt; 3/17- 5/5)

Prom Tickets will be going on sale and if you have more than a $6.00 fine on your account, you WILL NOT be able to purchase the tickets until all the BOOKS, MONEY OR ITEMS ARE returned.  If you have any questions, just come to the bookstore.

STUCO (Marshall; 3/27)

Everybody love Barbeque and Shane’s Rib Shack will be here every Monday to bring you’re their tasty barbeque. You will have the option to purchase a shredded barbeque sandwich or buffalo chicken strips with chips for $5.00.

Scholarship (Trezza; 3/27- 3/31)

Seniors: Are you going to a trade school next year, and do you need $1000? If so, please stop by the counseling office and see your counselor or stop by the career center before or after school.

Spiritline (McMahon; 3/30)

"There will be a meeting for all interested in trying out for next year's Varsity Spiritline Thursday, March 30th after spring break. If you have questions please see Ms. McMahon in B25."

The fourth Dr. Ed. session will began this Saturday, April 1. The class will be from 8:00 a.m. to noon and will meet in Room 704 in Building 7. Need to bring a pencil or pen to write with. Be on time and get rested up for a long session. Be also aware students that you can start registering for the final session of this school year. May 30, 31 and June 1 from 8:00 a.m. to noon each day. Afterwards the behind - the wheel instruction will begin.

“There will be an informational meeting for all interested in trying out for next year’s Varsity Spiritline today at 2:45 in room B25 across from the PACE Lab. If you have any questions see Ms. McMahon in room B25.

Surge on Campus/Elevate I.H.S. (Bolton, Foster, Badini; 3/28- 3/30)

The Surge/Elevate I.H.S. Christian Fellowship Club will be having a “special” “post-AZ Merit Testing Meeting for EVERYONE interested, including current members and guests ON Thursday, March 30th after school in the Mini-Auditorium downstairs.  We’re excited to have you join us for FREE food, drinks, special games & activities, so be sure and grab any friends and bring them along. See YOU there and as always…remember that U R loved!

Math Department (Hadley; 3/30- 4/4)

Need help studying for the AzMerit Math test?  Study sessions are available today through Tuesday, April 4th.  See your math teacher for a schedule.

AP Testing (Koole; 3/30- 4/12)

Attention AP Students! We will be holding a mandatory AP presentation and pre-administration session on Wednesday, April 12th in the PAC building. Check-in is 7:40 a.m. and the presentation will begin promptly at 8:00. Any AP student that cannot attend this meeting must see Ms. Koole in the counseling office as soon as possible.

Culinary Competition (D. Snyder; 3/30)

Over the break, D’Nyjah French competed in the CCAP Culinary Competition Finals. She did a fantastic job and earned 2 scholarships and a paid Summer Internship working with well- known local Chef, Christopher Gross.  Congratulations D’Nyjah, you’ve made us proud!
