MONDAY ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

Bookstore (Holt; 4/24)

Information:  The following books will be available for purchase in the bookstore:

Crucible, $9.00, The Great Gatsby $10.50, The Handmades Tale $9.00, The Great Expectations $5.50, Othello $2.50…LIMITED SUPPLY WHEN THERE GONE THEY ARE GONE.

Driver Education Session (Tualla; 4/24)

The last Driver Ed. session will be May 30, 31, and June 1 from 8:00 a.m. to noon each day. Behind the wheel instruction will begin after attending the classroom portion. Register at the Moon Valley bookstore anytime until May 17. The cost is $210 and you must show a copy of your permit or driver license when you register. Call Mrs. Kara Martin at the bookstore if you want to register by mail and she will provide the instructions. Parents can pay by their tax credit for this year if they have not used it as yet. Call Kara Martin if you have any questions.

Prom Tickets will be going on sale and if you have more than a $6.00 fine on your account, you WILL NOT be able to purchase the tickets until all the BOOKS, MONEY OR ITEMS ARE returned.  If you have any questions, just come to the bookstore.

Prom (Kelly; 4/7-5/2)

Prom guest forms are now available in the attendance office. They are due back by Wednesday 5-3-17 NO EXCEPTIONS! If you have a failing grade the guest form will not be approved until you get the grade to passing.

Scholarship (Counseling; 4/17- 4/28)

Seniors: Are you going to a trade school next year, and do you need $1000? If so, please stop by the counseling office and see your counselor or stop by the career center before or after school.

Volleyball (Monaghan; 4/24)

Attention everyone interested in playing Volleyball.  We will be having open gym every Tuesday and Thursday from 5-7 in the Main Gym.  This is all boys and girls interested in playing Volleyball.  Please stop by Ms. Monaghan’s room to pick up out of season form so you can participate. 

STUCO Class Elections (Marshall; 4/20- 4/28)

Are you running for a STUCO class position? Don’t forget to turn in your packet by 4/28, and sign-up for your interview this week outside Ms. Marshall’s classroom B20.

Culver’s Fundraiser (Marshall; 4/20- 4/25)

Patriots, there will be a fundraiser at Culver’s on 99th Avenue and Camelback from 4-8 pm on April 25th! Come and support student council as they work as your servers! We hope to see you there!

STUCO (Marshall; 4/24)

Everybody love Barbeque and Shane’s Rib Shack will be here every Monday to bring you’re their tasty barbeque. You will have the option to purchase a shredded barbeque sandwich or buffalo chicken strips with chips for $5.00.

Media Center (Ehrick; 4/24)

Attention All Students,

If you want to continue to celebrate School Library Month, stop into the library Tuesday and make your own bookmarks.  On Wednesday, board games and puzzles will be out on the tables all day. Join your friends or challenge your teachers to a game of Uno or Scrabble.

Surge on Campus/Elevate I.H.S. (Bolton; Foster; Badini; 4/26)

The Surge/Elevate I.H.S. Christian Fellowship Club will be having a “special”   Meeting for EVERYONE interested, including current members and guests ON TODAY, April 26th after school in the Mini-Auditorium downstairs.  We’re excited to have you join us for FREE food, drinks, & activities, so be sure and grab any friends and bring them along. Chess Team (Bolton; 4/27)

The Chess Team and Club will be having it’s NEXT Session of “Open Boards” TODAY, Thursday at 2:45 in Coach Bolton’s, Room B-24.  So come join the growing number of I.H.S. Chess Team members preparing for the NEXT Team season!  Everyone interested in joining next year’s Chess Team is invited to join us NOW and bring a friend along to play.  Team Competition is just around the “Castle,” so come be a part of Patriot Chess Nation!

Young Environmentalist’s Club (Bolton; 4/27)

The Young Environmentalist’s Club will be holding a mandatory meeting THIS, Thursday April 27th for ALL members, including our JR. ROTC partners right after school in Room B24!  We will be collecting recyclable paper and cardboard, as well as planning for our spring outing.  Teachers, please be sure to bring your recyclable paper to ANY of the downstairs’ prep rooms, main office copy room, Media Center copy room or next to room 114A if you are not available for classroom pick-up after school from 2:45-3:30.
