Everybody love Barbeque and Shane’s Rib Shack will be here every Monday to bring you their tasty barbeque. You have the option to purchase a shredded barbeque sandwich or buffalo chicken strips with chips for $5.00.

Attention All You Ghost Story writers,

Mrs. Ehrick is not only offering a Dutch Brother’s gift card to the winner of the Ghost Story contest, but the winner’s story will be performed with sound effects on a professional Podcast!

So get your entries in by October 5th.  See Mrs. Ehrick for more details.

SAGAA (Waltenburg, Beck; 9/27)

SAGAA members will be in the mall area during both lunches Thursday and Friday with stickers in honor of Ally week.  Stop by to get a sticker and sign an Ally Week Pledge if you believe that all students deserve to feel safe and supported.

*Please show a copy of the Ally week pledge on screen.

I believe all students, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression deserve to feel safe and supported. That means I pledge to:

* Not use anti-LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) language or slurs.

* Intervene, if I safely can, in situations where students are being harassed or tell an adult.

* Support efforts to end bullying and harassment.

* Encourage others to be Allies.

Fall Choir Concert (Merrill; 9/27- 10/2)

Information: The IHS Choirs will be hosting their first concert of the year on October 2nd at 7 pm in the Auditorium. There is no cost for this first concert. We hope to see many of you there.

Hiking Club (Chandler, Mitchell; 9/27 –10/2)

Patriots: We will be traveling to Estrella Mountain Park for the next IHS Hiking Club trip! If you would like to go on the trip, it is important that you attend the planning meeting on Wednesday, October 3rd at 8:20 am in Room 121. See Ms. Chandler or Ms. Mitchell if you are interested in the hike but unable to attend the meeting. Remember: Hike More… Worry Less!

Do you need a public library card? If so, here is your opportunity to renew or receive a Glendale Public Library card on Wednesday October 3rd. Please bring your student ID.  Teachers and Staff, please bring your driver’s license and proof of address.  You can get a card 8:15 AM- 3:00PM. See you in the media center.

Swim (Hallum; 9/28)

The swim team had another great performance yesterday, this time against the Moon Valley Rockets.  Briana Gonzalez, Diana Lizarraga Rochin, and Ashley Morales all won both of their individual races for the girl's team as they came away with 1st place in 7 of the eleven races. The boy's team won 6 of the first 8 races and held off a strong comeback by the rockets to secure the win behind 1st place finishes from Elijah Cortez, Guillermo Cazarez, Noah Arrieta, and Erick Luna.  

Great Job Patriots

The team will host their final home meet of the season next Thursday at 4:00.  Come out and support this awesome group of athletes
